Welcome to Paulmara Estates
Paulmara
Estates was established by Paul and
Mara Georgiadis in 1999 near Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. 'We came up with the name 'Syna' due to our back-grounds
and combined passion for fine wine. Syna is Greek for "together". 'The
companionship for two like minds and hearts.'
 |
Together they established a 32 acre vineyard in the heart of the Barossa Valley, South Australia.
They have just achieved a 4 ½ star rating from Winestate Magazine for the 2009 Marriage and a 4 star for the 2009 Syna!
The Shiraz that makes our Syna Shiraz is cropped at 2-3 tonne per acre. Water is applied during the growing season to ensure natural development of sugar and flavour. See our 2008 James Halliday scores and latest newsletter for more news and information about our premium SA products. |

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Zeus, the Greek father of the gods, exercised close control over earthly things. He was worshipped as the god of farmers. It was his rain that made the fields fertile.

Syna and The Marriage Wine
Max Crus writes “Paulmara The Marriage Shiraz Cabernet 2008……Unlikely to be any marriage after this scapade, but if there was this would be the wedding wine. Lovely stuff that could make a marriage work. 9/10”
