The estate Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard that is the source of the fruit for our newest addition APOTIGI is located in the heart of Marananga, The vines are 30+ years old and virtually dry grown. The terroir and attention to detail management allows us to produce fruit with exceptional concentration and varietal expression. The grapes are hand picked at the ideal physiological ripeness.
The fruit once harvested, was quickly transported to the winery, gently destemmed and then transferred to static fermenters. Following a 10 day ferment, the wine was pressed and transferred to 70% new French oak hogheads and matured for 20 months.
Rich and fruitful, while balanced with soft tannins from the French oak. Approachable now but with some age, this Cabernet will reward the connoiseur for their patience!
